Housing In Omaha, Inc. (HIO) is a non-profit, affiliate corporation of the Omaha Housing Authority. HIO is a separate corporation that has owned and operated its own housing units under the Section 8 New Construction program since 1979. Recently HIO's role has expanded and HIO has acted the developer of several projects for the Omaha Housing Authority. 

Housing In Omaha, Inc. has its own separate, five member, Board of Directors, separate financial statements, and separate annual audits from the Omaha Housing Authority. HIO is the general partner and operates several, affordable housing, low-income housing tax credit properties.
