New CEO Hired!                                                                                            

 

Clifford Scott

 

The Omaha Housing Authority (OHA) is pleased to announce Clifford Scott as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

 

Mr. Scott brings to OHA over 10 years of public sector knowledge and experience. He is currently the Executive Director of the Youngstown Metropolitan Housing Authority (YMHA) in Ohio. He was formerly the Director of Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program for the Housing Authority of Kansas City, MO which was rated as a High Performer Agency for the year ending 2007. Prior to Kansas City, he was the Director of New York's Statewide Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program which was the fourth largest voucher program in the US totaling 38,000 units. During his tenure with the State of New York he managed a budget of over $300 million dollars and the State of New York was rated a High Performing Voucher Program in the 2005 and 2006 by HUD. 

 

During his first year at Youngstown the agency achieved Section 8 High Performer Status and has continued the designation throughout his tenure. He has managed over $32 million dollars in renovation projects and secured over $9.9 million dollars in competitive ARRA  funds as well as two rounds of Low Income Tax Credit Awards from the Ohio State Housing Finance Agency (OHFA). In 2009, Youngstown received the National Youth Build Program of the Year award from NAARSAH and in 2010 received a National Award of Merit for the OPERATION FORECAST public safety and security initiative from the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO).
